How to Set Up IPTV on Android TV, Boxes & Phones
Android is an open ecosystem, making it the easiest platform to set up and customize your IPTV streaming experience. Whether you have a Xiaomi Mi Box, Nvidia Shield, Android TV, or an Android phone, follow these steps.
Step 1: Download a Player from Google Play Store
Open the Google Play Store on your Android device, search for one of the following highly recommended player apps, and install it:
- TiviMate Companion / Player: Best EPG layout (TV/Box only).
- IPTV Smarters Pro: Free, highly customizable, works on phones and TVs.
- XCIPTV Player: User-friendly interface, fast stream decoding.
Step 2: Load Your Playlist Credentials
Launch the player application. Most Android players support two methods of loading playlists:
- M3U URL: Paste the full M3U playlist link from your MyTV Portal dashboard.
- Xtream Codes API: If your player requires this, enter your dashboard's username, password, and host URL.
Step 3: Optimize Player Settings
Go to your player app Settings ➡️ Stream Format and change it to **TS** or **M3U8** for faster channel loading. Enable **Auto-update EPG** so your TV program guides are refreshed automatically every 24 hours.
